MUNDI RISO is part of the Spanish Group Ebro Puleva, the first agro-alimentary group in Spain, worldwide leader in rice, that have the leadership throughout Europe and USA.
MUNDI RISO was founded by the entrepreneurial will of Hernandez family in 1986, with their head office in Milan. Later, in 1994, the head office was moved to Vercelli with the opening of a new factory, that became operational in 1995 after a large scale restoration project.

The Group deal in Italian rice purchase, industrial processing and marketing. For that reason the decision to establish the operation centre in the heart of the Rice production was easy because Vercelli is the European and Italian Rice capital.

Over the years until the present day MUNDI RISO has became one of the most representative organisations in the Italian Rice-growing arena. MUNDI RISO strong points, transparency and commercial integrity have gained them suppliers and customers confidence and appreciation.

Today MUNDI RISO operates whether supplying customers that commercialize rice with their mark and supplying manufacturers that use rice as raw material in their production processes. In this last case we are proud to have as our customers the most important companies both in European and Worldwide in the rice industry.

To guarantee this goal, MUNDI RISO ensure product quality, safety and conformity meets all our customer specifications.
To this end we are equipped with a self-controlled HACCP system to guarantee the product traceability and retraceability.
MUNDI RISO's quality system has been improved with BRC and IFS Certifications that are considered the best product quality control guarantee for a manufacturer operating in European and International markets.

The combination of the application of leading technology, our experience in the markets, flexibility in management and operations are the strengths of our company.

Our Operation is situated in the centre of Vercelli and covers approximately 36.000 square meters. This location gives us a strategic position for all transportation.

Our annual production capacity is approximately 80.000 tonnes of raw material, corresponding to a production of about 50.000 tonne of rice milled ready to be sold.

The majority of the total rice production is exported to our most important customers located all over Europe, USA and the Middle East.
