“Settimana del Riso 2025”: Mundi Riso opens its doors for guided tours

Rice, Vercelli and Mundi Riso take center stage during “Settimana del Riso”, an initiative running from the 14th to the 20th of February, 2025, dedicated to celebrating the rice sector and the local food culture through a series of events across the territory. This week-long celebration leads up to “Fiera in Campo 2025”, the most important European event dedicated to rice farming, scheduled from the 21st to the 23rd of February. 

Organized by Confagricoltura Vercelli e Biella, Ascom Confcommercio, Fipe Vercelli, Anga Vercelli e Biella, Fai, in collaboration with the Municipality and Province of Vercelli and the Borgogna Museum, the festival offers a diverse program. Activities include guided tours of key production and trade sites, cultural events and, of course, gastronomic experiences.

Mundi Riso has a major role in the event with two open-factory days on Tuesday, the 18th of February, and Wednesday, the 19th of February, allowing visitors – who can make their reservation here – to discover the secrets of rice processing. Additional tours will take visitors through Borsa Merci in Piazza Zumaglini, while exhibitions and workshops will be hosted at the Borgogna Museum and FAI Vercelli sites.

Last but not least, “Risotto Days” will take place from the 14th to the 16th of February, with around 30 restaurants offering a special set menu dedicated to risotto. For the first time, the event will feature certified Rice Sommeliers, selected by Strada del Riso Piemontese di Qualità, elevating the dining experience to a whole new level.
