Vercelli is ready to become the international hub of the rice sector with Risò, the festival dedicated to the world’s most consumed cereal and to the enhancement of its entire supply chain, taking place from the 12th to the 14th of September, 2025. Mundi Riso proudly supports the event as a Main Sponsor and prominent exhibitor.
The city of Vercelli is the perfect place to host a center of exchange, reflection, and celebration of rice and the entire world of farmers, processors, seed producers, cooperatives, industries, and institutional representatives involved in its production and distribution. A world built on history, labor, culture, and authenticity, now ready to open its doors to an international audience to showcase its high-quality products and spark important conversations on the present and future of the supply chain.
Mundi Riso is proud to take part in an initiative founded on these principles, bringing the expertise gained over more than 30 years of activity. During the fair – promoted by the Province of Vercelli with Ente Nazionale Risi and the City of Vercelli, and supported by the Region of Piedmont and the Ministry of Agriculture, alongside numerous local stakeholders – the company will present the added value of its legacy, ongoing commitment to innovation and research, and its premium-quality products, which will be available for retail purchase for the first time.
Mundi Riso will be present in two strategic locations:
On September the 11th, the historic rice mill will also participate in B2B Meetings at the Vercelli Borsa delle Merci, which will be transformed into a global hub where Italian producers will connect with buyers from around the world.
Mundi Riso will also be featured in the event “Rice and Sushi: From the Field to the Chopsticks”, taking place on September the 14th from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM in the Talk Area. This will be a unique opportunity to explore the “journey of rice” -from the field to the rice mill – with a strong focus on environmental sustainability and the high-level commitment required to produce premium rice that meets the most rigorous standards of international cuisine, such as those needed for sushi. Speakers will include Maurizio Tabacchi, Massimo Magistrini, Paolo Savarese, and Gianni Fernando, winner of the first Italy Sushi Cup. The talk will be moderated by Ivonne Basile.
